\"\"<\/a>Pete Gardiner is an intelligent singer\/songwriter from Northern Ireland, who developed his passion for music at age of 6 after hearing Slash play the opening three chords of ‘Knockin\u2019 on Heaven’s Door’.<\/p>\n

Drawing influence from his own idols Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen, Pete is a clever, honest lyricist, who writes about events that touch his life, such as his relationships with people, doomed romances, news stories that hit him hard.<\/p>\n

Pete began his career working as a bank cashier, whilst playing gigs around local bars at the weekends, he managed to gain some local radio play, which lead to his first recording contract and debut album with the award winning Irish producer, Tommy McLaughlin.<\/p>\n

Pete will soon be joining the London Mayor\u2019s Office to spearhead their \u2019London Busking\u2019 event, where he will form part of a panel of experts to mentor new artists and will perform on stage in Trafalgar Square on July 18th. He’s also\u00a0recorded for Bob Harris\u2019s \u2018Under The Apple Tree\u2019 sessions this month.<\/p>\n

An insightful and satirical comment on the shallow cult of celebrity, ‘Idols’ is the lead single from Pete Gardiner’s debut EP, due for release on the 28th August.<\/p>\n

Pete’s debut EP also features ‘Doorstep Riots’, observations on life, being broke, the complacency of society & growing up living in Belfast. ‘Angel Faces’, definitely a love song and ‘Just Like You’ a real heart breaker!<\/p>\n
