The legendary Rosanne Cash will be performing for one night only on 23 July at London’s Union Chapel.\u00a0Having won three Grammys for her latest album, ‘The River &\u00a0the Thread’ (Best Americana Album; Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance for the song, ‘A Feather’s Not a Bird’), Rosanne, accompanied by John Leventhal, is guaranteed to give fans a night to remember.<\/p>\n

‘The River &\u00a0The Thread’ came in at No. 1 on the Americana Top 100 Albums of the year chart, which is compiled by the Americana Music Association. Released in January 2014, it was the highest charting album of Cash\u2019s career on the Billboard 200 and debuted at No. 1 on the Folk Albums chart and at No. 2 on the Country Albums chart. Rolling Stone called it \u201cremarkable,\u201d placing ‘The River &\u00a0The Thread’ on its list of 2014 albums listeners \u201creally should hear.\u201d \u201cHere it is \u2013 the best album of 2014,\u201d said People.<\/p>\n

Pronounced as “superb” by Jon Pareles from the New York Times, and hailed as “the work of a lifetime” by Newsweek, ‘The River & The Thread’ has appeared on numerous ‘Best of 2014’ lists, including Paste Magazine, The Huffington Post, and MOJO.<\/p>\n

Featuring appearances by Cory Chisel, Rodney Crowell (co-writing one song), Amy Helm and Kris Kristofferson among others, ‘The River & The Thread’ follows Rosanne’s 2009 album, ‘The List’, which was nominated for two Grammy Awards and won the Americana Music Award for Album of the Year, and was a critics’ favourite.<\/p>\n
