British experimental instrumental trio, Troyka, have unveiled a stunning new animated video for their track \u2018Arcades\u2019, taken from their third studio album \u2018Ornithophobia\u2019.<\/p>\n

The trio features Kit Downes, who was once Mercury nominated in his own right, on Hammond\/synths, along with Chris Montague on guitar and Josh Blackmore on drums, thus making Troyka, with their cool Prog Rock\/jazz sound, a cut above your average Hammond organ trio.<\/p>\n

The album’s title, ‘Ornithophobia’, was inspired by guitarist Chris\u2019 fear of birds, and is set in a fictionalised post-apocalyptic London \u00a0in which people have contracted a form of avian flu that turns \u00a0them into human-size birds and and makes them lose their minds. The album’s artwork, created by artist Naiel Ibarrola, compliments the dark comic book theme, and features our heroes Troyka.<\/p>\n

‘Arcades’ is the opening track of \u00a0‘Ornithophobia’. Setting the scene for the rest of the album, it offers a deceptively mellow intro, which soon descends into an unrivalled concoction of prog, thrash, jazz, blues and a Bernard Hermann score.<\/p>\n
