Scottish four-piece Vida are an exciting band who invoke\u00a0comparison to the likes of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian, among others. Their growing reputation on the live circuit has seen them gain support from Amazing Radio and XFM, the latter of whom handpicked the band to play their “This Feeling” show four times. They have also have had four gigs at Glasgow’s prestigious, King Tuts, and headlined a charity festival in Stirling, which was met with great acclaim.<\/p>\n

From Clackmannanshire, Scotland, the band formed in 2013. Jamie Pollock (Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar), Nathan Evans (Lead Guitar & Vocals), write all the songs, while Ross McShane provides\u00a0Bass & Vocals and Jamie Piggott plays Drums.<\/p>\n

Their new single is a double A-side release showing two of the different sides of the group. First, \u2018Electric Lady\u2019 tells the story of repeated overnight stays with the same girl after meeting on several nights out, and the awkwardness that follows the next morning. Meanwhile, \u2018Fade Away\u2019 speaks of a completely different kind of awkward \u2013 finding yourself in the same room as an ex\u2026<\/p>\n

Their appearance at the fundraising events mirrors their approach to music, offering fans something free in exchange for their ongoing support. Vida are known for handing out music and merchandise at live shows, free to music fans who go home with EPs, CDs, badges and more. This generous approach is spreading the word and helping to build a legion of fans, who will continue to build Vida into a force to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n
