Formed initially in Spring 2013 to commemorate the passing of a close friend, Coventry five piece Yes Sunshine has gone from strength to strength, and officially hit the scene in May 2013 with their intriguing blend of indie, rock, and punk.

NME described Yes Sunshine as “A twin guitar assault that’s very reminiscent of early Strokes” – and they’re not wrong! Fast and furious, “No No No” is fierce and electric and reminds this reviewer of Aussie rock band, The Radiators, particularly the song, “Coming Home“.

In 2013 Yes Sunshine toured extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, performing at legendary venues such as The Dublin Castle and The Shed, along with a headline show at The 100 Club, an appearance at Manchester’s Ethihad Stadium, and two massive shows at The Great Escape Festival. They’ve also supported Pete Doherty, Royal Blood, Zane Lowe, Yuck, The Enemy, and The View.

Releasing their first single, “Because of You”, in January last year they were featured in NME, as well as given airplay on BBC Radio 1, XFM, and Amazing Radio in the UK and a total of seventeen countries worldwide.

BBC Introducing selected Yes Sunshine as their band of the month for February this year.

Yes Sunshine are currently on tour around the UK and Ireland. You can see them:

9 May – The Workman’s Club – Dublin If you can’t get to any of Yes Sunshine’s gigs, you can find them online at their Official Website, on Twitter, SoundCloud, YouTube and on Facebook.

Formed initially in Spring 2013 to commemorate the passing of a close friend, Coventry five piece Yes Sunshine has gone from strength to strength.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[9
830,1305,1307,743,1306,764,203,1304
post-10616","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-new-releases","tag-bbc-introducing","tag-because-of-you","tag-conventry","tag-indie","tag-no-no-no","tag-punk","tag-rock","tag-yes-sunshine
An album that calls to mind the very best of the 80s and 90s (we're thinking New World Order and The Cure), '100% Sunshine' is 100% guitars and rock rhythms.

In "New Artists
https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/SDM-1.jpg?fit=600%2C600&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200
https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/SDM-1.jpg?fit=600%2C600&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200 1x, https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/SDM-1.jpg?fit=600%2C600&ssl=1&resize=525%2C300 1.5x
AV Super Sunshine is nothing if not prolific, producing music and videos with the speed and intensity that goes hand in hand with extremely creative people.

In "New Releases
https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/AV-Super_Sunshine.jpg?fit=552%2C367&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200
https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/AV-Super_Sunshine.jpg?fit=552%2C367&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200 1x, https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/AV-Super_Sunshine.jpg?fit=552%2C367&ssl=1&resize=525%2C300 1.5x
AV Super Sunshine's new song "Are You Happy" was written to bring to light how mental health issues can affect happiness.
