Sonder are a 4 piece, female fronted band whose music explores the genres of rock, pop punk and post hardcore. We saw them at The Good Ship in a stripped down acoustic version of themselves. They played a very good set, mostly covers but some original pieces. Opening with a really lovely Bryan Adams’ “Heaven”, and a very cool cover of James Bay’s “Hold Back the River” we found Sonder to be very endearing, particularly lead singer, Albana Abazi, who we found to be very unprepossessing and modest – a direct contrast to her ballsy punk vocals!

Sonder’s cover of The Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” was quite poignant, and we were also struck by Sonder’s strong guitar. We enjoyed their original song (the name of which we missed, sadly) – this is where Albana came into her own – singing the band’s own songs allowed her to give it all she had.

In all we really enjoyed Sonder’s set, and would like to hear what they are like when all members are playing. Check out Sonder on Facebook, as well as Albana Abazi on Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and Youtube.

Sonder are a 4 piece, female fronted band whose music explores the genres of rock, pop punk and post hardcore.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[1
1063,1069,1066,1065,65,1067,1068,203,1064,69,1054
post-10235","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-general","tag-albana-abazi","tag-bryan-adams","tag-goo-goo-dolls","tag-james-bay","tag-london","tag-pop-punk","tag-post-hardcore","tag-rock","tag-sonder","tag-soundcloud","tag-the-good-ship
https://essentiallypop.com/epop/2022/11/rich-wyman-lisa-needham-are-having-memories-of-you-with-new-pop-single/
Powerhouse pair Rich Wyman & Lisa Needham serve up incredible talent that sees them blend modern rock n' roll, jazz, and soul, and all this is highlighted in their most recent release, 'Memories Of You'.

In "Music
https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Rich-Wyman-and-Lisa-Needham-MoY-photo-6-horiz-c-2-scaled.jpg?fit=1200%2C801&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200
https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Rich-Wyman-and-Lisa-Needham-MoY-photo-6-horiz-c-2-scaled.jpg?fit=1200%2C801&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200 1x, https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Rich-Wyman-and-Lisa-Needham-MoY-photo-6-horiz-c-2-scaled.jpg?fit=1200%2C801&ssl=1&resize=525%2C300 1.5x, https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Rich-Wyman-and-Lisa-Needham-MoY-photo-6-horiz-c-2-scaled.jpg?fit=1200%2C801&ssl=1&resize=700%2C400 2x, https://i0.wp.com/essentiallypop.com/epop/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Rich-Wyman-and-Lisa-Needham-MoY-photo-6-horiz-c-2-scaled.jpg?fit=1200%2C801&ssl=1&resize=1050%2C600 3x

https://essentiallypop.com/epop/2023/09/author-and-singer-songwriter-zarah-is-set-to-release-her-new-single-what-have-we-become/
Zarah, an author and singer-songwriter, is set to release her new single, 'What Have We Become?' on September 29.
