Jedward Introduce The JedHawk Ahead Of Brand New TV Series

Back in March John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, shaved off their trademark, and quite frankly iconic, quiffs, to raise money for a cause that’s very close to their hearts, Irish Cancer Society. The event, in honour of their late mother Susanna, raised more than 3 million Euros.

Since that time, fans and followers have got used to their shorter hair, but even so in that time, it’s grown considerably, leading the Dublin musicians to yesterday introduce a new style to fans – the JedHawk.

Ever since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, John Grimes of Jedward has been entertaining fans and followers with his gorgeous acoustic guitar covers, on an average of about 2 a month. Some Peoplе Come In Your Life For A Reason: #Jedward’s John Grimes Releases Stunning Instagram Exclusive Cover Of Justin Bieber’s ‘Lifetime’

If you’ve listened to John Grimes’ acoustic covers over the years, you may have noticed that he’s covered Justin Bieber’s songs more than any other artist, with him appearing 3 times in the past year alone. We’re certainly not complaining; Justin’s songs fit well lyrically, and sonically they suit John’s vocals perfectly. So tonight, we were very pleased when John uploaded a new cover to the Jepicpics Instagram account, and it was another Bieber song – this time his new single, ‘Lifetime’, from his ‘Justice’ album.

If you’ve been living under a rock then you’ll probably not have noticed that Jedward have been in the news a lot. If it’s not for their music, and their incredible banger of an album, ‘Voice Of A Rebel’, with their 22 self-written and produced songs, it’s for their astute political commentary on social media, and, more recently, the shaving of their trademark quiff hairstyles, in order to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society.

Jedward Set To Shave Off Iconic Quiffs This Friday In Aid Of Irish Cancer Society

Irish musical duo, Jedward, comprising twins John and Edward Grimes, are known for their music, their two time tilt at the Eurovision trophy, and, in the past year, their elevated social activism on their Twitter account. But there’s one thing that stands out among all others, and is especially useful in describing them – their iconic quiff hairstyles, which at their tallest stood 12 inches, straight up.

‘Fast Car’: John Grimes Of Jedward Puts His Own Stamp On The Tracy Chapman Classic With Acoustic Guitar Cover

You’ll know the song, even if you don’t know who originally sang it. A fast song about getting away from it all, ‘Fast Car’ was written by Tracy Chapman and released way back in 1988. Since then it’s been covered no fewer than 15 times, by artists such as Birdy, Boyce Avenue, Justin Bieber, Jonas Blue, Sam Smith, Passenger…the list is seemingly endless, with each the track their own flavour. And now it’s John Grimes’s turn, with his acoustic guitar cover, which he’s released as an IGTV exclusive.

If you’ve only just caught up with Jedward recently because of their consistently on point political tweets, or if you’ve only just discovered them, here’s a reminder that they make damned fine music as well. Not content to just sit back and let their incredible 2019 fourth album, ‘Voice Of A Rebel’ (all 22 songs of which they wrote and produced) do the work, John has over the past few years also released a series of acoustic guitar covers, showcasing his own musical and vocal talents outside of Jedward.
