In the same vein as many documentaries on the subject of the most horrific of crimes; murder, this new ten-part series ‘I Am A Killer’, produced for the Crime and Investigation channel, in association with Netflix, will challenge our understanding of what is evil. There is nothing more grimly fascinating than what drives one human being to brutally, and in some cases without remorse, murder another human being.
From director Rich Ragsdale (‘Eight Legged Freaks’ and ‘The Giant Mechanical Man’) comes this creepy horror flick set in mysterious and exotic Thailand. Jim and Julie are on vacation and Julie develops a fascination with Thai “Ghost Houses”, believed to house the spirits of the dead. They meet two English men who take them to a “Ghost House” graveyard; a place where all the “Ghost Houses” are abandoned and left untouched. Julie quickly develops strange symptoms and Jim embarks on a whirlwind journey to cure her of whatever is afflicting her. It takes them and their Thai companion, Go-Go on a trek deep into the spiritual world of rural Thailand. It’s a race against time, against evil claiming the soul of Julie.

This remake of the original 1965 series of the same name, arguably the original Sci-Fi series as it pre-dates the first episode of Star-Trek by a whole year, has been rebooted for the new Netflix generation, and what a reboot it is. The production team of Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold and The Last Witch Hunter) have taken Irwin Allen’s creation and given it steroids. Stunning visuals, great special effects and big budgets, this has the lot. It’s the story of one family, the Robinsons, sent to colonise new worlds, who along the way, crash-land.
