Last week Riva Taylor brought her music back to London for her first show in the city for a while. The venue she chose was St Pancras Old Church which claimed its place in music history when The Beatles used the grounds and courtyard for a 1968 photo shoot and which was set up as a music venue back in 2011. Anyone that has ever been to this venue will tell you that the acoustics there are incredible and the atmosphere intimate. It couldn’t be a more perfect venue for an artist like Riva Taylor with her crystal clear vocals and warm intimate style.

Riva Taylor, an outstanding artist we chatted with at the beginning of lockdown when she released ‘This Woman’s Heart.1’, is back with the second part of the release. The first part garnered praise from Sir Elton John and Pete Tong on its release and was created as an album which was a statement of confusion, heartbreak and loss. ‘This Woman’s Heart.2’ according to the artist “makes peace with a past and looks towards a bright future”. This new album includes ‘If I Could Ever Stop loving You’ which has found success on BBC Radio 1, ‘Magic’ which has been produced by Celeste producer Jakwob and ‘Woman’, my personal favourite, which is accompanied by a quite stunning video. I was lucky enough to chat with Riva about the album, released in May.

Riva Taylor started out as a young star, Becky Taylor, securing her first West End role in Les Miserables at seven. At just 12 she was The youngest person, twenty years ago, to sign for EMI records. These days, after a musical rebirth as Riva, she has just released the first part of her super album ‘This Woman’s Heart’, and has just launched the This Woman’s Heart online community for Mental Health Week and beyond.

Corey Taylor Teases ‘CMF2’ Further With Latest Single ‘Talk Sick’

On Wednesday, legendary vocalist, guitarist and lyricist Corey Taylor released the third single, ‘Talk Sick’, from his second solo album, ‘CMF2’. After recording ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ with Slipknot, which received widespread critical acclaim, Taylor chose to focus on his individual career, recording and releasing his first solo album, titled ‘CMFT’, in 2020. Now, he’s soon to follow it up with the sequel, which releases in mid September.
