‘In The Dark’ is the new single from Allen Himmen, a singer songwriter from Indiana. The track is both bold and adventurous, and brings with it a similar energy and clear inspiration from fellow Indiana artist, Michael Jackson, as Himmen explores themes of secrecy and mystery. ‘In The Dark’ is out now and can be streamed and downloaded here.
After finding the beat with GIMI Productions, Himmen had the lyrics down in under a day, and thus a pop anthem was born. ‘In The Dark’ serves as a daring and audacious addition to Himmen’s discography.
Allen Himmen has been involved in music for as long as he can remember, and has been inspired by many of the biggest names in pop music. Besides the obvious influence of Michael Jackson, and New Kids On The Block (the track calls to mind ‘The Right Stuff’), for example, there’s also a namecheck for Britney Spears, another artist whose sound has clearly been important to Allen.
Allen Himmen is an exciting new artist, and although he’s not yet performed in front of a live audience, he’s certainly one who we believe we’ll be hearing a lot more of in the not too distant future.
