PIERA – ‘Cosmic Reaction’

Singing as PIERA, Piera Klein and Michah Plissner combine their diverse musical CVs and create dark, daring electronic-synth pop with deceptively simple elements that conceal their complex nature. New single, ‘Cosmic Reaction’ follows on from their recent heart-racing single, ‘Unraveling’, and just like the previous release the duo continues to arouse with mystical indie and synth-bursting intimacy. Taking inspiration from the likes of David Bowie, the hypnotic Los Angeles-based pair encourage their listeners to likewise take their inspiration from them, and create art, enjoy nature, and “arouse your consciousness”.

The experimental art collage video for ‘Cosmic Reaction’ toys with a variety of environments, colour palettes and dream like states, teasing both the eyes and the senses, as it brings extra-terrestrial energy onto planet Earth. We see PIERA’s avatar exploring a variety of environments, from the California desert, to the Atlantic Ocean and through the Puerto Rican Jungle of El Yunque, and she wakes up in a range of different. The aim was to portray Piera as an interstellar mystic, and it works. All in all the video for ‘Cosmic Reaction’ is a retro mystery tour and experience that blends perfectly with these modern times.
