Some PeoplŠµ Come In Your Life For A Reason: #Jedward’s John Grimes Releases Stunning Instagram Exclusive Cover Of Justin Bieber’s ‘Lifetime’

If you’ve listened to John Grimes’ acoustic covers over the years, you may have noticed that he’s covered Justin Bieber’s songs more than any other artist, with him appearing 3 times in the past year alone. We’re certainly not complaining; Justin’s songs fit well lyrically, and sonically they suit John’s vocals perfectly. So tonight, we were very pleased when John uploaded a new cover to the Jepicpics Instagram account, and it was another Bieber song – this time his new single, ‘Lifetime’, from his ‘Justice’ album.

This is John’s first cover with his freshly shaven head, and his second using the portrait format favoured by Instagram. And it works well. The focus is purely on John, his guitar, and his voice, there’s no external distractions. He’s sitting against a door, wearing an unbuttoned denim shirt, while his vocals as always evoke such passion from the lyrics. Essentially a love song, it could equally have other applications, such as heartbreak, the loss of a loved one, or just a wistful contemplation on memories of past relationships.

Most poignant of all however is the chorus:

Some people bring you a million blessings
Some people teach you a million lessons
All that I learned it wasn’t my turn
It wasn’t thŠµ right time
Some peoplŠµ come in your life for a reason
Others they come in your life for a season
But, baby, you are a lifetime

As John sings this we are made to feel that he’s singing from experience, but then again, that may well just be his gift shining through. Whatever it is, we are certainly made to feel every word and note with him, and are happy to be along for the ride. We’re here for a lifetime, not just for a season.
