Koosh Saxena – ‘Trying My Best’

Singer songwriter and guitarist Koosh Saxena hails from the seaside town of Capitola in Santa Cruz, California, and uses the ocean and beach to inspire him. He’s played in several bands over the past decade and a half, but now he’s a solo artist, and his life is filled with art and leisure like surfing, yoga, and sitar, which flow into his work and evoke a career that encourages listeners to take risks, follow their dreams, and practice humility. His latest single is called ‘Trying My Best’, and we have no doubt that he is.

Back in 2019, Koosh worked with producers Reto Peter and Ed Clare to release his debut EP, ‘Sail With Me’. His music is so compelling that it pulls every type of listener into his world, enticing them with his sound while retains them with his story. In the title he is inviting fans to join him on his journey, which has been redefined away from the world of “can’ts” and “don’ts”‘, and he encourages us all to get on with our lives, without letting the fear of failure to get in the way.

For the music video for ‘Trying My Best’, Koosh portrays a love story via the medium of a video game. He wakes up on a strange beach with his only mission being to save the beautiful girl from the bad guys. Along the way he finds a blindfolded NPC, who provides him with clues for the quest. He fails to notice the warning sign and enters threatening territory where he’s kidnapped by bandits. Luckily for Koosh, he’s tied up with his damsel, and they are able to escape together. A door in the middle of nowhere will supposedly lead them home, but as Koosh approaches the frame, his power bank depletes to zero. We’re left wondering – did Koosh make it? Or does he have to start all over again in order to win his fair maiden?
