Producers Peppermint Heaven Return with Synthwave-Inspired Remix

Peppermint Heaven’s latest release is a remix by DRYVE of their track, ‘Super Reaction’. Dropped on March 19 via Megahit Records, the collaboration extends Peppermint Heaven’s already well-established synth sound and applies a driving Italo-Bass rhythm to it.

DRYVE, like Peppermint Heaven, are unapologetic fans of synths and 80s nostalgia, and with their remix of ‘Super Reaction’, which sees the drums submerged in a thick fog of reverb, and the vocals given a robotic, vocoder treatment, we are once again transported back to that era of big sounds and even bigger hair.

The richness of the analogue synth is crucial to the sound of the track, while not overwhelming it. Every aspect of ‘Super Reaction’ can be examined on its own merits; no one element overpowers any of the rest.

Colorado producer, DRYVE (the pseudonym of Ross Ryan), is a fantastic find for Peppermint Heaven; he’s a rising star on the synthwave scene, and is also a fellow obsessive of the 80s synth sound. His self titled album was released last September with NewRetroWave quickly sold out, and his star is sure to rise even higher with collaborations like this one.

You can find out more about DRYVE online on Facebook, and Instagram. Peppermint Heaven are online on Facebook, and Twitter.
