Keelie Walker – ‘Girls Night’

Still only 17 years old, Keelie Walker is described as an up and coming pop artist, but she’s really one who’s been in the business longer than a lot of big stars. At 14, the now Nashville-based singer was asked to open for Jason Derulo, Westlife, and Little Mix on the European leg of LM5: The Tour. But that wasn’t the start; she’s been training for her music career nearly her entire life; starting dancing at six years old and shooting her first music video at 11. Her style is sunny pop marinated with a splash of R&B, and she cites as her inspirations the likes of Beyoncé, Doja Cat, and Kehlani.

On top of all that, Keelie has bene featured by BBC’s playlist show, Heat Magazine, and Shout Magazine, as well as lots of radio play on the BBC, Kiss Fm, and Bauer Radio stations. She’s also had more than 1 million streams on Spotify alone. Yet another string to add to her already formidable bow, Keelie was also among the youngest to perform at Wembley Arena.

For her new single, ‘Girls Night’, the music video sees Keelie and her girls out for a good time, and they dominate the streets of Nashville, and backyards in the suburbs. Produced by Brian “Yung Ladd” Pickens (Lil Wayne, Young Thug), Lambert “Stereo” Waldrip (Zendaya, Mya), and Xcellence (Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa), the clip sees Keelie and her girlfriends jamming out, dancing, and genuinely enjoying their day. There’s a few boys in the video, but they’re certainly not necessary to complete the girls’ night out. Keelie makes that loud and clear. ‘Girls Night’ is the title track from her ‘The Girls Night’ EP, which sees the songs touching on inner personal matters and deeper subjects such as anxiety and depression.
