PLAYR2 Releases Latest Album, ‘Just Fucking Dance’

PLAYR2 is the nom de plume of Sam LoPiccolo, who has also produced music under the name of Beyond Beats. ‘Just Fucking Dance’, his new album, pulls no punches with 9 tracks written during the latter half of 2020, bringing electronic music back to basics.

The album calls to mind the OG EDM sounds, and asks the listener to throw off any pre-conceptions of genre and sub-genre, and just enjoy the music. We challenge anyone who listens to this to merely sit back and not get involved; it’s nigh on impossible to not feel the rhythms and be swept up in the euphoria.

PLAYR2 takes inspiration from other such genre-bending electronic artists as deadmau5, i_o, Kraftwerk, and Daft Punk; although we’re unable to go clubbing at the moment, he provides us with the music to have our own little rave at home.

Sam LoPiccolo started producing a wider range of electronic music back in 2015, and as PLAYR2 has recently started releasing through his own label, PLAYR’s CLUB, thus ensuring he had greater control over the sounds he was producing. PLAYR2 intends to release even more dancefloor filling tracks this year, and become a household name – with music like ‘Just Fucking Dance’, he’s certainly on his way to doing just that!
