Sophia B Releases Debut Single ‘Boys Are So Overrated’

Young New York artist Sophia B has released a song of female empowerment that will resonate with many, in her new single, ‘Boys Are So Overrated’.

A blend of pop with rock guitar, the song was originally written when Sophia was in the 7th grade, in collaboration with her friend, Sofia Luce, and in explanation, she says, “There’s an overrated guy in every grade and in the real world” – something with which many of us are sure to be in agreement! The singer joined forces with Claire Protas’ Produce That Song Studios in Sydney, and tweaked the song with the help of her guitar teacher. The song comes with an official music video, which takes us behind the scenes of the recording process, including Sophia B’s incredible vocal prowess.

Sophia B has had colourful life growing up, living in both Bangkok and Prague as a child, before settling with her family in New York City’s Upper East Side. She puts her multi-cultural experience and heritage to good use in her music, along with musical theatre experience. She’s certain to go places, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
