Lesibu Grand – ‘Hot Glue Gun’

Lesibu Grand return with new single, ‘Hot Glue Gun’, the follow up to ‘WFS‘.

Lesibu Grand are always shaking things up when it comes to their sound, so it should come as no surprise that they’d do it with ‘Hot Glue Gun’. Taking up where ‘WFS’ left off, at least when regarding message and angst, the new track sees the group poking fun and being a little tongue in cheek with the context of the song. It’s a punk-rock anthem, and the video sees the Atlanta natives giving up on the policy-makers, and heading straight for the White House itself. They’re not as angry as before, however, this time they’re determined to fix things, even with a hot glue gun, if necessary. Their message is powerful, and goes beyond the lyrics to the musical style itself. Lesibu Grand describe the song’s sound as “80s new wave punk”, and use it to change the listener into someone who is brave and stands up for what they believe in. It’s inspiring – and a lot of fun too.

The clip for ‘Hot Glue Gun’ is another quarantine-made video, and sees the band in the middle of an 80s inspired arcade game. Tyler-Simone Molton is the antagonist, driving her pink Cadillac, speeding away from her latest high speed mission, and straight into a new one – this time to get the hot glue gun off the evil bad man. She fights through security, and soon there’s nothing left apart from her, the glue gun, and the bad man. It’s fun, it’s vibrant, and it’s the perfect match for the song.
