Cornbury Festival Announce They Will Go Ahead As A Fully Socially Distanced Festival In 2021.

Cornbury Festival have confirmed that they will go ahead as a socially distanced festival 9-11  July 2021, unless pandemic restrictions are eased, and the festival will adhere to all government guidelines to make the outdoor summer event Covid safe. Things that could be in place, include one way systems, seated audience viewing, masks, extra cleaning and hand sanitising stations, additional boutique dining and waiter(ess) service at bars and food concessions, along with clean camping and pre-booked camping plots within 2 metre spacing.

Festival organiser Hugh Phillimore is keen to highlight that as a festival whose clientele are used to posh loos as standard, arena seating, fine dining and a certain level of comfort, some of the Covid safe additions, will not be too different from their regular VIP offering.

“We’re re-designing the site to incorporate a range of Covid safety measures which will be in place throughout the festival weekend. We’ll have to limit our capacity and change to a slightly different format but we’re determined to stage another edition of our lovely little festival” says Hugh.

“If any festival can cope with social distancing and safety restrictions, Cornbury can, we are a very civilised event!”

The line up is expected to remain much the same as originally intended for 2020, however a regular favourite at the festival BRYAN ADAMS has been confirmed as the Friday Night Headliner. Early Bird Tickets go on sale today. All competition prizes & tickets purchased and retained for 2020 are now valid for 2021.

Organisers of Oxfordshire’s much loved Cornbury Festival are thrilled to bring a little joy to
the end of 2020, with the announcement of BRYAN ADAMS as headliner of the festival’s
Friday night line-up on July 9 2021.

“Bryan was a triumph back at our ‘finale’ in 2017 so we’re completely over the moon that he’s decided to return to Cornbury”, says organiser Hugh Phillimore.

Friday day tickets along with weekend tickets are available now.
Bryan Adams was born in Canada, but has dual Canadian and British nationality. He has achieved enduring success internationally with a string of multi-million selling albums, with 12 top ten singles in the UK alone. Bryan Adams still holds the record for the song with the longest consecutive weeks at No 1, with ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’, which topped the charts for 16 weeks in 1991.

Bryan Adams joins an impressive Cornbury 2021 line-up – the rest of which will be announced early in the New Year.

Cornbury Festival, one of England’s most upmarket events, has featured many brilliant performers over the last 16 years – Joe Cocker, Amy Winehouse, Robert Plant, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Blondie, Bryan Ferry and The Beach Boys. The festival has gained a reputation for its unique and friendly atmosphere, set in a beautiful Cotswold location.

“Like everyone, we’ve had a miserable year with no festival this summer” adds Hugh “but we’re feeling positive and really looking forward to putting on another great event next July.

Counting down the days to a weekend of fantastic music, delicious food, hopefully sunshine and, above all else, being together again!”
