Papi Shiitake – ‘Quarantine Dream’

Papi Shiitake is back with another hot take on quarantine life. The Brooklyn based duo, comprising Young Tuxx and Ryan Sieloff, who we first met last month with their single, ‘Enjoy The View‘, continue to entertain with their new single, ‘Quarantine Dream’, along with an animated video.

The dream pop jam is bouncy and carefree, with bass lines, vibrato infused guitars, and the barest minimum of drums, all working together to bring the song to life.

The clip sees Young Tuxx, sitting at home, just like the rest of us, desperate to get out and do something. He’s had enough of social media, Netflix, and FaceTime, and just craves that human connection – like we all do. Any time he tries to leave home, his neighbour turns up with a can of Lysol; so his next best plan, if he can’t meet up with his friends in body, then there’s nothing to stop him doing it in spirit. He floats out the window, over the empty streets of NYC. where he finds his lady love. She’s alone, just like him, and likewise, is wondering what happens next. Papi Shiitake’s spirit blows her a kiss, and returns home, where his body waits patiently by the door.
