The Dead Daisies Are At Their Sinister Best With Halloween-Themed Music Video For New Single, ‘Bustle And Flow’

Just in time for Halloween, everyone’s favourite rock super group, The Dead Daisies, have released their new single, ‘Bustle And Flow’. The track comes with a ghoulish music video that is sure to have you shuddering with both fear and delight.

You would have to be a newcomer to Essentially Pop (and if so – welcome!) to not know who The Dead Daisies are – we’ve been writing about this exciting collaboration of rock’s finest since way back in 2016, with their release, ‘Song And A Prayer’. Over their time together, The Dead Daisies have included in their number members of some of the biggest and baddest names in music, with founder David Lowy, from Red Phoenix, and Mink, the lynchpin with his rhythm guitar. Currently the group is a fourpiece, and also includes Doug Aldrich, from Whitesnake, and Dio, tearing it up on lead guitar; Deen Castronovo of Journey, Bad English, and Hardline, on drums, and Glenn Hughes, from Deep Purple, and Black Country Communion, out front on vocals and bass. As members of their respective bands, and as individuals, each is in demand; it’s understandable then why The Dead Daisies are as popular as they are.

In the video for their latest single, ‘Bustle And Flow’, The Dead Daisies take us on a tour of an abandoned amusement park, populated by ravens (of course it is) and various misfits. For the clip, the group have collaborated with London’s Creative Works, a motion graphics agency who have won awards. The clip is gory and ghoulish, filled with fire and fishnets – and in the words of the song, “Its about walking through the fear”. There’s a bit of a battle between the ravens and a masked woman, and it’s uncertain what they’re fighting about, but if it’s about the remains of the now desolate park, it’s too late, as it becomes enflamed. The woman bids a hasty retreat to her underwater lair, and the ravens fly away, presumably to fight over some other ruins. All that’s left are the signature skulls of The Dead Daisies, amply plastered throughout the park.
