Kase 1hunnid ft. Snoop Dogg and YD – ‘I Luv My Dawgs’

Miami’s Kase 1hunnid isn’t one of those rappers who likes to talk about things they’ve not done, or focus on violence and all the associated violence that goes with it. Kase instead chose with his tracks to fill the world with positivity and brotherhood.

“There’s a lot of violence out here right now, and I push love,” he says. “I done did everything under the Sun but die, and I ain’t trying to do that yet.”

Kase’s previous single, ‘My Ride’, showed that he can carry a song all by himself, but for ‘I Luv My Dawgs’, he pulled in the ultimate dawgs – his pal YD and the legend himself, Snoop Dogg. How did he land Snoop? It was surprisingly simple. A friend send the record to Snoop, who liked the track, and two days later, his verse was done. Simple. With hooks that get the party started and then go all day long, ‘I Luv My Dawgs’ is more than just a song, it’s a celebration, it’s fun, it’s full of life – and it’s guaranteed to get everyone who listens throwing their arms around their dawgs.

The video for ‘I Luv My Dawgs’ sees Kase 1hunnid, Snoop, and YD take over the local football team’s field, and get together with a hundred or so of their nearest and dearest. Directed by Shula The Don, Space 305, Rob Dade, and Love Shack, the cameras just roll as the party does its thing. Snoop is clearly having a good time, showing he is truly a man of the people. We also see YD and Kase walking the streets, kicking back, hanging out with passers by and friends. It’s a feel good song, and a feel good clip, and a breath of fresh air all round.
