Muca & La Marquise Release Debut Single, ‘London’

If you’re someone who’s moved to London from somewhere else, particularly if you’ve come from abroad (puts hand up!), then you’ll appreciate the debut single, ‘London’, from writing duo Muca & La Marquise.

Written from the POV of two foreigners who’ve settled in London and fallen in love with the original city that never sleeps, ‘London’ is upbeat and summer-infused, with a fun and jangly guitar, and thumping double bass, accompanied by gorgeously emotive vocals, emotive of Stine from Alphabeat (who themselves found have quite a love for London). There’s a lot of name-checking of suburbs and locations, and you instantly feel relaxed.

There’s an equally lovely video to go with the track, animated by Clara Santos, which further gives illustration to the love affair Muca & La Marquise have with London.

Muca & La Marquise is a project from London-based songwriter and produer Muca, with ‘London’ the first single from the upcoming album, expected to be released early next year.
