SURFACES TEAM UP WITH ELTON JOHN ON NEW TRACK ‘LEARN TO FLY’

Texas duo Surfaces reached global success with their last single, ‘Sunday Best’, which has now reached an astonishing 1 billion streams. They’re now back with a new track which features music legend, Elton John. You can stream ‘Learn To Fly’ on all major streaming platforms now!

As we’ve all been in lockdown these past few months, we’re seeing musicians from all over the world adapt to working from home. Surfaces are no different. ‘Learn To Fly’, featuring Elton John, was produced by the pair, and created via Zoom. It’s a very upbeat track that will surely put you in a good mood during these times. It was created in hopes that it will bring people’s spirits up.

When talking of the wonderful collaboration, Elton John says,

“Having heard ‘Sunday Best’ for the first time in Australia and liking it so much, I was surprised when the guys reached out to me to sing and play a little piano on ‘Learn To Fly’. I loved the song and the production on the track they sent me. We recorded via Zoom in LA and it was so much fun working on a non-Elton record. These guys are terrific and we had a blast collaborating.”

Despite the circumstances, Surfaces have had quite an extraordinary year. They released their 3rd studio album ‘Horizons’ back in February. ‘Sunday Best’ also earned its place at number 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart – it also found itself in the top 40 of the Official UK Singles Chart. You can listen to ‘Horizons’ here.

We look forward to seeing what they have in store for the rest of the year! Be sure to follow their Twitter and Instagram for more updates.
