We wanted to know more about Elenoir and her music so we recently got in touch to talk about her new single. Here is what she had to say:

Hi Elenoir! Thank you so much for chatting with us. Why don’t you start by telling us a bit about your new single ‘Wrong Party’? What’s the meaning behind the song?

‘Wrong Party’ is a tiny but sweet self-awakening; I’ve been living in my mind for so many years, perceiving myself as a fragile and dangerous entity. Something changed inside me when I realized I was completely living in the future and in the past, manipulated by my “sweet beliefs” and my cloudy brain. I can consider this noisy and crawling moment the greatest breaking point of my little life. I’ve decided to try and forgive all the human beings and myself for our mistakes, our darkest hours, and deal with what happens and with who we are, because as you know, there are troubles even paradise.

The music video you’ve released alongside the single in incredibly original and unique. Could you describe the music video for us? What was it like creating it?

I’m glad you like it! First of all, I have to say thank you to a visionary friend and man, my director Cristiano, and the adorable and patient crew I had the pleasure of working with. I really owe them this successful result and let me say that true expert can do wonders even in the middle of a global pandemic.

The music video has a strong basis of authenticity perfectly mixed up with a gloomy aesthetic that leads you to a suspended and cold atmosphere. We just wanted to create nothing different but something new, playing with all of those shining but claustrophobic elements that dive you into such an elegant and virtual grave.

You started having an interest in music at a young age. What advice would you give to your past self?

Not so much to be honest… “It doesn’t matter if you can’t play the guitar as you wish” and “trust your Instinct”.

Your artistic approach towards your music is fascinating. What inspires your originality?

I have the precious privilege of crowning my band’s beats and productions with my voice and lyrics. We are five crazy lovers of art and electro, pop, industrial, and trip-hop music; what you hear is the set of many souls, genres, and personalities. My primary inspiration is literature, in particular, the Anglo-American writers; They are my safe PLACE, my eternal and spiritual support. My car and my periodical insomnia have many credits too.

If you could choose anyone to collaborate with, who would it be and why?

Geike Arnaert and Beth Gibbons, definitely. Because they have changed me.

What question do you wish someone would ask you in an interview, but nobody ever does? By all means, answer the question you come up with!

Absolutely! “Is there any recurrent thought you want to share with us, or something you’ve found out lately?”

In a world where appearance is mistaken for truth, the only thing left to do is be true in your intentions; it could save you from your monsters.

Finally, what’s next for you and your music? Can you tell us of any future plans?

Yes of course! We’ll have the chance to talk to Venus, to spend some time with King John, to deepen my illusions and my tipsy solutions. We’ll also have time to play with some snowflakes.

Massive thank you to Elenoir for taking time out of her day to chat with us! We wish her the best of luck with ‘Wrong Party’. Make sure you show your support by following her FacebookInstagram, and Twitter
