You’re About To Get ‘Caught Up’ In Josh Middleton’s Latest Single!

Josh Middleton is a dual national UK and South African singer songwriter whose latest single, ‘Caught Up’, set for release tomorrow, May 8, is from his upcoming album, ‘A Mild Case Of Insomnia’.

The acoustic pop track is up-tempo in rhythm, and gives the listener that much needed festival feeling, that we’re going to miss out on this year because of Covid-19. The track was written by Josh himself, who also co-produced it alongside Crighton Goodwill, from Good Noise Productions. Goodwill has previously worked with Jason Derulo, and Coke Studios among others, and for ‘Caught Up’, the pair made use of a number of live instruments in order to represent a genuine sound. With an impressively catchy hook and a foot-stomping bassline, ‘Caught Up’ takes the listener on a musical journey with lyrics that are truly relatable and connect them emotionally to the song. The high-energy chorus creeps up on the listener unawares, ensuring that they will be “caught up” in the song.

Still only 17, Josh has defied all barriers in his music, with his powerful lyrics bringing tears to the eyes of his audience. He started performing at a very young age, and his YouTube covers of those artists who’ve influenced him drew attention from record labels, talent scouts, and Josh Devine, former drummer with One Direction. From here Josh Middleton started working with heavyweights in the music industry, and wrote and released his debut album, which entered the iTunes Pop Top Charts at number 2, and the Shazam Top 100, peaking at number 21, making him one of the youngest artists on that chart.

Speaking about ‘Caught Up’, Josh said,

I find that juggling a music career, studying business and having a social life can be really tough especially when you’re in a relationship. Sometimes you just get caught up, whether you’re in studio or on tour it’s hard to keep everyone happy, sometimes you just let that relationship slip.”

‘Caught Up’, by Josh Middleton, is out tomorrow 8 May across all digital platforms, and will be available here.

You can find Josh Middleton online on his official website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
