Vanessa V. Answers The Question Of “Who Run The World?” With New Single ‘Live It Up’

With a Creole-Filipina mother and a Mexican-Italian father, Vanessa V has the diversity and attitude to make it as a model. She’s also got the talent to make it with her voice, and hers is a fairytale story, from where she went from making music on a laptop to being recognised by Sirius XM. Vanessa’s lyrics reflect the introspection the California native has felt since her youth, and which give them a realness that can only come from experience.

Vanessa V’s single, ‘Live It Up’ comes after the singer joined up with Left Lane Entertainment, and was able to hone her sound. The track has since been streamed more than 20 thousand times on Spotify alone, and besides its heavy rotation status on Sirius XM’s Shade 45, has also been aired on Power 92 Chicago. Additionally, the song has been made into a dance by choreographers Guy Groove and Jayden Bartels, which has been replicated by dozens of fans.

Vanessa V. knows her worth, and has realised that the game of life is a never-ending competition. Nonetheless, she knows women will always rank as winners, and won’t settle for anything less. In the music video for ‘Live It Up’ Vanessa takes control of her sexuality and uses it to empower her, showcasing her assets, both financial and physical. Her message is that there’s no problem with a woman hustling for her own cash – notice her praising a woman for getting a Birkin on her own – and being free to spend (or receive it) however she pleases.
