ALBUM REVIEW: Empathy Test Set to Release 3rd Album ‘Monsters’

London-based band Empathy Test is ready to release their 3rd studio album ‘Monsters’ on the 22nd May – and it’s something you don’t want to miss!

The album starts strong with the single that inspired the title of the album ‘Monsters’. This track was released as a single on the 24th April – you can stream it here to get a taste of the rest of the album! A review of the song was also published on Essentially Pop which you can check out here. ‘Empty Handed’ and ‘Doubts’ follow, both of which have the perfect combination of synths and vocals. The mixture of the two just blends perfectly together showcasing the talents of the band beautifully.

Deep and hard-hitting lyrics are a major theme throughout the whole record. Every track will leave you with something to think about. You will feel a rollercoaster of emotions; from the loving moments of ‘Incubation Song’, to the sheer desperation and despair of ‘Fear of Disappearing’.

It’s an impossible task to pick just one favourite. We recommend that you listen to ‘Monsters’ from start to finish and fall in love with each track.

The incredible 10-track album will be available to stream from the 22nd of May. As Empathy Test remains as an independent band, (despite several offers from multiple record labels), they will be self-releasing ‘Monsters’ in digital, CD and 12″ vinyl formats via a crowd-funded Indiegogo. More information can be found here. In the meantime, whilst you’re waiting for this highly anticipated release, be sure to show your support by following the band’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
