Introducing the world to his alternative bedroom pop last year, with the EP, ‘I Don’t Like To Have Fun’, 17 year old Danish sensation Elliot returns today with his new single, ‘drown’. Stream and download here.
The gorgeous song couldn’t have been released at a better time, dealing with themes of reaching out to people you care about, and to give them strength during hard times.
Speaking of the song, Elliot said,
“Most of my songs come from a sort of dystopian place inside of my head and often written to escape that exact place and give comfort. ‘drown’ wasn’t written to comfort myself but a dear friend of mine who was going through really hard times of sorrow.”
Soft vocals accompanied by guitar and other light strings make this a song that is eminently re-playable over and over.
Elliot, real name Carl-Emil Lohmann, is an actor, dancer, singer, and voice artist from Lejre, Denmark. He played Billy Elliot in the Danish production of the same name, at Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen.
