Izzy Ice – ‘Cake Up (Cool And Dre Party Mix)’

Izzy Ice is a Brooklyn rapper on the way to superstardom. His latest release, ‘Cake Up’, has already been playlisted by the likes of Da Baby, and Fat Joe, as well as Jersey Shore TV icon, DJ Pauly D, who has shown the track some love in his live sets. In fact, ‘Cake Up’, has already been added to more than 220 playlists, including Global Hits 220.

Izzy Ice got his start at the age of 16 in New York’s underground rap scene. He’s now signed with It’s A 10 Records, and seen his Spotify following grow to over 38,000 monthly listeners.

It’s not always been plain sailing however. A near fatal throat infection put Izzy into a coma – but in retrospect it was a blessing in disguise, as when he recovered he decided it was time to devote himself fully to his music.

‘Cake Up’ has so far garnered more than 100K streams on Spotify alone, and has been given the remix treatment by the legendary Cool & Dre, causing It’s A 10 Records president, Jeff Aronson, to declare,

“Watching them dissect and reconstruct ‘Cake Up’ was truly amazing.”

The video for ‘Cake Up’ sees Izzy leaving his Rolls Royce, bedecked in gold chains and dripping with luxury items. He’s flash with cash, throwing hundred dollar bills all over the place. Money actually does grow on trees in Izzy’s world, and in this clip we see his staff harvesting the green (and who cares if they stuff a few in their pockets as well? There’s plenty more where that came from). Money is baked into the cake of the song title – about $100,000 worth of it – and Izzy’s maids count their cash. The rewards have all been through hard work though, and Izzy Ice is not backward in coming forward to admit that it’s due to his heavy hustle that he’s seeing the benefits. The clip might be a fantasy at the moment, but one thing’s for sure, big things are coming soon for Izzy Ice.
