The Essential Advent Calendar: December 22 – LA Pop/Rock Songstress Alexa Villa Releases ‘Silent Night’ In Time For The Holidays

We’re racing towards the end of the Essential Advent Calendar for 2019 and door number 22 is concealing the new single from Los Angeles pop/rock singer, Alexa Villa, ‘Silent Night’.

It’s Alexa’s unique take on the traditional Christmas song, which she describes as a personal favourite:

“Making this not-so-silent version with the help of my brother on guitar is a great way to celebrate family and Christmas all at once.”

“I didn’t intend to make a rock ballad. Sometimes the song will tell you what it wants to be. And when my brother starting messing with the chords on guitar, we found the direction and it just fell together fairly quickly and naturally.”

‘Silent Night’ comes ahead of a second single set for release in early 2020, as well as Alexa’s upcoming full length album. Check out Alexa’s official website for further information.

Alexa Villa started moving towards her music career when she began taking piano lessons at the age of 7. This led to performing at school talent shows, local recitals, and singing and harmonising in theatre shows. She has performed all along the west coast, with the Warped Tour, and opening for the likes of The Darkness, and Drake Bell, among many others.
