Premaura Releases Brand New EP, ‘Ascension PT 1’

Bradford singer songwriter Premaura has established herself on the local pop music scene, with performances at Live At Leeds, and Pub In The Park among her accolades. Now she’s released her debut EP, ‘Ascension Pt 1’, which a four-track record which came about after the artist had a spiritual awakening.

Speaking of the EP, Premaura said,

“With ‘Ascension, Pt. 1’, I wanted to offer up a taste of my journey with authenticity and heart.”

Each track represents a different aspect of her personality, and examines them with total honesty: track 3, ‘Body’, is accompanied by a music video, which sees Premaura walking in a seeming haze, before finding her position among other like-minded women, where she sings about focusing on the energy, bolstering our self-esteem. The pop song has a new-age message with an upbeat and catchy rhythm.

Premaura declares ‘Body’ to be a call for us to love ourselves unconditionally; the atmospheric synths and intricate yet propulsive rhythms work well with her powerful voice.

Premaura cites as among her influences the likes of Kate Bush, The XX, and M83, and her distinctive vocal talent certainly sets her apart from the rest.

You can see Premaura perform live at the following dates:

7th December 2019 –  Belgrave Music Hall – Leeds
30th January 2020 – The Lending Room – Leeds
