BRISTOL SOUNDS 2020 EXCITING LINE-UP: NOEL GALLAGHER, SUPERGRASS AND MORE!

Bristol Sounds have become a firm summer favourite, and are returning for 2020 with an amazing lineup.

Bristol Sounds 2020 have announced their first acts and it does not disappoint. In previous years the Saturday during the festival has featured bands only in the evening. From 2020, this will be extended to make Saturday an all-day event.

The Festival will be returning to Lloyds Amphitheatre from 23rd-28th June. The 2020 lineup will feature huge names, including Noel Gallagher, Jack Savoretti, Supergrass, The Levellers, and Reef.

Midsummer’s Night Wednesday 24 June will see Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds return to Bristol, having recently released his latest single, ‘Wandering Star’, taken from the upcoming EP, ‘Blue Moon Rising’. Fans of Gallagher will no doubt be delighted with his return to the city, following his incredible headline set at The Downs Bristol, back in 2018.

Supporting Noel are the Australian indie electro-pop outfit Confidence Man, whose debut album ‘Confident Music for Confident People’ was named the best independent dance album at the Australian Independent Record Label Music Awards (ARIAs).

Thursday 25 June will see Supergrass take to the Amphitheatre stage. The Britpop four-piece reunited in September this year, undertaking a “surprise” performance at the annual Pilton Party in the same month.

Saturday 27 June, which will run from midday until 11 pm, will feature A Beautiful Day Out, headlined and curated by The Levellers. The all-day bill will feature legends Reef, perennial festival favourites Goldie Lookin Chain, Scottish three-piece Peat & Diesel, and a rare performance from Gaz Brookfield & The Company of Thieves, with many more acts still to be announced.

Bringing the show to a close on Sunday 28 June is Jack Savoretti. His recent, and sixth, album, ‘Singing to Strangers’ entered at number one in the album charts earlier this year and this is his biggest Bristol show to date.

Conal Dodds, co-founder of Crosstown Concerts commented:

“We’re really looking forward to Bristol Sounds 2020, this is our strongest line up to date and we can’t wait to see all these acts perform in such a unique setting. We are very lucky to have this venue in Bristol and we’ve worked really hard to deliver this line up. There are lots of great support acts still to be announced, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for more shows to be announced in the coming weeks. We expect all these shows to sell out so would urge everyone to buy tickets as early as you can!”

Tickets for the shows go on general sale at 9am on Friday 29 November and are available from See Tickets, Gigantic, Bristol Ticket Shop, Eventim, and The Ticket Factory.

This looks like such a good line up and shouldn’t be missed, it will be such a good week for Bristol Sounds 2020.
