Kim Petras Releases Halloween-Inspired Project: ‘Turn Off The Light’

Kim Petras kicks off the spooky season with her highly anticipated Halloween-inspired project ‘TURN OFF THE LIGHT’. Resurrecting Kim’s malevolent persona, ‘TURN OFF THE LIGHT’ invites sinister synths and bloodthirsty beats to summon nine new tracks, which join its critically-acclaimed first volume as one 17-track body of work. Stream here.

Welcoming atmospheric club instrumentals alongside five new, spine-chilling singles including ‘There Will Be Blood’, a hyper-animated floor-filler, ‘TURN OFF THE LIGHT’ fuses classic horror soundscapes with euphoric, modern pop hooks to birth a theatrical, Frankenstenian project. Also featured are tracks ‘Wrong Turn’, ‘Massacre’, ‘Death By Sex’, and the glam-rock possessed ‘Everybody Dies’.

Following the success of her first-ever sold-out headline tour this summer, Kim is heading back on the road with “The Clarity Tour” this month. The North American run, which kicks off on 21 October in Vancouver, will bring Kim to major cities from coast to coast. As a ‘thank you’ to her fans, and to celebrate an explosive year, every ticket purchased online for Kim’s upcoming “The Clarity Tour” will include a digital download of ‘TURN OFF THE LIGHT’. For all live dates and tickets, visit Kim’s website. Additionally, with the limited edition pink swirl version selling out at Urban Outfitters, “TURN OFF THE LIGHT Vol. 1” is now available on vinyl in neon pink via Amazon. Kim recently released “Clarity” – a 12-track project, which hit the Top 4 of iTunes’ Pop Chart, and featured ‘Icy’, which was recently added on BBC Radio 1’s Best New Pop Playlist. ‘Icy’, along with a string of critically-acclaimed singles, saw Kim dominate Spotify’s New Music Friday’ and Apple Music’s ‘Best of The Week’ for 10 consecutive weeks. Stream the “Clarity” project here.

Kim just wrapped the North American and European legs of her first-ever headline tour, which sold out during pre-sale, prompting her to upgrade to larger venues. This summer, Kim also played her first UK festivals Reading & Leeds festivals, and Manchester Pride, alongside Ariana Grande.

With 2018’s ‘Heart to Break’, Kim established herself as a pop force to watch for, racking up over 180 million global streams to date and earning her admirers like Demi Lovato and Kylie Minogue. Kim, who is a self-directing independent artist and songwriter, debuted with the #1 Spotify Global Viral 50 bop ‘I Don’t Want It At All’, which features a cameo by Paris Hilton in the music video. Since then, the rising pop sensation’s trajectory has boomed. Kim has racked up millions of global streams for her collaborations with Charli XCX and SOPHIE, opened for Troye Sivan on his 2018 North American “The Bloom Tour”, and earlier this year, headlined the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. While in Australia, she was also invited to perform alongside Rita Ora on her Phoenix World Tour.
