Irish singer Janet Devlin has today released the music video to accompany her new single, ‘Confessional’, which came out on September 27.
The track has a real Celtic feel, thundering drums, uilleann pipes, accordion, fiddles, bodhrán, cow’s ribs and whistles provide the instrumentation, while Devlin wholeheartedly defiantly declares all that has been laying deeply on her heart. The video shows Devlin entering a Confessional, where she sings, fierce and fiery, in a brilliant return for the artist, who now makes her base in London.
“‘Confessional’ feels like the real beginning,” says Janet. “This collection of songs saved me, so the least I could do to repay them was to let the world have a listen. I can’t wait to release my album out into the wild and follow the songs wherever they take me next.”
