McFly Are Back! And They Have a Big Surprise for Their Devoted Fans!

It’s been a long wait for Galaxy Defenders but McFly are finally back in business! New music awaits and a huge show at London’s O2 Arena on November 20 – tickets are available here.

McFly definitely made their mark on the music industry 16 years ago when they became the youngest band ever to have a debut album reach number 1 – beating The Beatles’ long-standing record. Since then, Tom, Danny, Dougie and Harry have had; 7 number 1 singles, five top-ten albums, six sell out tours and a whopping 10 million records sold worldwide!

A few years ago, they partnered with Matt Willis and James Bourne from Busted and formed the super group “McBusted.” Whilst this was an amazing era for all involved, it forced McFly to move their plans, eventually putting them in to an unplanned hiatus. Although each of them have been successful in their solo careers. Tom has become a bestselling children’s author with his books “The Creakers” and “The Christmasaurus” – which also became a musical back in 2017 starring Tom himself. Danny became a judge on “The Voice Kids” alongside will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Jessie J. Dougie was trying something new with his acting career and formed the alternative-rock band “INK,” as well as having a passionate role as an environmental campaigner. Last but not least, Strictly winner Harry put his dancing shoes back on for West End audiences starring in the “Rip it Up” show.

Now, after nearly 10 years since their last album “Above the Noise,” the boys are back and better than ever! The band have announced a one-off show at London O2 Arena on the 20th November, but that’s not all. Each week leading up to the massive show, they will be releasing a song. This set of songs are titled “McFly: The Lost Songs” as a gift to their fans who have been waiting so long for more music. These are unheard recordings that were intended for McFly’s 6th album – an album that never came…until now. The songs have been collecting dust all these years and the band think that it’s finally time to release them in to the world.

“The Lost Songs” will be on Spotify and other major platforms alongside a documentary episode filmed by the band explaining the writing process for each song. “Red” will be the first, which will be available on Sunday 15th September. The documentary episode for this is already up on the band’s Youtube channel. Tickets are on sale now, be sure to snap yours quick as there will be popular demand! For more information, be sure to follow all of their social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. And McFly? Welcome back. The world has missed you.
