Sonic Rade – ‘Lost Identity’

Back in March we introduced our readers to Swiss pop-rock trio, Sonic Rade, with their song, ‘Let’s Dream Tonight‘. Now they’re back with a striking music video for their new song, ‘Lost Identity’.

Formed on the shores of the Rade, Geneva’s harbour, the trio are signed to Italian label, VDM Records, and serve up high energy tunes which are mixed with an undercurrent of melancholy. They produce relatable music, with lyrics which focus on personal issues, relationships, and self-awareness.

The band have so far released three albums, including their most recent self-titled album, which they put out this year. The video for ‘Lost Identity’, the opening track of ‘Sonic Rade’, takes a journey through figuring out who you are without your other half. It’s a bass-led track, with sterling rhythms and a dark pysch feel. Unlike the video for ‘Let’s Dream Tonight’, which took the band to Times Square, ‘Lost Identity’ is simpler, shot in a studio with smoke, mirrors, and projectors. It’s reminiscent of a Bond theme, if produced by David Bowie, and we come away wondering who we actually are.
