There’s a real Bob Dylan/Tom Petty vibe in ‘Tell Your Story’ – not just the vocal style, but also the lyrics. Drawn out and lazy vocals, David Haerle’s singing pulls you in and makes you want to sit awhile and just soak up everything he sings and plays. A true musical craftsman, like his other releases, it comes with a video shot in the studio, focusing in turn on each of the members in his band, while David sings. It’s a fly’s eye view of what goes on in a studio, and yet David and his band are clearly pros, they all know what needs doing it, and like a well-oiled machine, they get it done.
