Tritonal ‘Hard Pass’ (ft. Ryann) and ‘Diamonds’ (ft. Rosie Darling)

Progressive House, Electro House, and Trance Future Bass are all styles that David Reed and Chad Cisneros have experimented with in over a decade of working together as Tritonal. They’ve won the respect and recognition of some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero, Above & Beyond, to name a few. They’ve taken Tritonal to the Electric Daisy Carnival, the Electric Zoo, Creamfields in Australia, Ultra Music Festival, and other top notch EDM events. On top of all that, with ‘Air Up There’, and their new Tritonia show on Sirius XM, they show themselves to be both skilled and discerning radio hosts.

The duo are preparing themselves for the release of their new album, ‘U & ME’, and speaking about it said,

“The title for our latest full length album, U & ME, is a very simple pointer towards Unity & Love that we feel is inherent in life itself. Ultimately, we are all connected – in fact everything in the Universe is connected. Music allows us to express that connection through sound. There is so much inherent divisiveness in our culture today and we wanted to flip the ‘you vs me’ or the ‘us vs them’ dialogue on its head. ‘My Country’, ‘My Team’, ‘My Race’, ‘My Beliefs’, ‘My Social Group’ – they all are ideologies people identify with to enhance their false sense of self and can be divisive instead of unifying. Through them, people make themselves ‘right’ and others ‘wrong’ and define their identity through their enemies, the ‘others’, the ‘non-believers’ or ‘wrong believers’. This identification leads to suffering. Hopefully, our music can act as a light that shines upon one simple truth – Love.”

Having always worked with incredible female singers, it’s no surprise that on their latest singles, ‘Hard Pass’ and ‘Diamonds’, they’ve collaborated with exceptional vocalists once more. Ryann, who sings on ‘Hard Pass’, has previously worked with Tritonal on their single, ‘Easy’, while on ‘Diamonds’, they’ve enlisted the help of relative newcomer, Rosie Darling.

The clip for ‘Hard Pass’ is shot in the canal of the Los Angeles River, with Ryann walking along the concrete while the river snakes along beside her, glistening in the sunlight. Her vocals coalesce perfectly with the dance rhythms of the electronic track, conjuring up the feeling of a glorious summer’s day.

‘Diamonds’ is another clip which illustrates the fantastic story that’s told by Los Angeles. Rosie is seen on the roof of a building in Downtown LA, as well precariously perched atop what appears to be a billboard, in a saltpan in the desert, with the San Bernadino Mountains in the background, and in the forests – all of which show a side of LA and Southern California that people might not immediately think of.
