Raised On TV – ‘Smog City’

Raised On TV first came to our attention back at the beginning of March, with their single, ‘Caroline‘. They return with ‘Smog City’, accompanied by a video shot in and around Los Angeles, Hollywood Boulevard, and Venice Beach.

Originally making music just for fun, like so many artists, Raised On TV soon realised that there was a future in their tunes. Moving out of the garage where they played for their own entertainment, the trio comprising Ryan Weiss, and brothers Keaton Rogers and Kacey Greenwood are ready to be the next big thing.
‘Smog City’ follows a driver and the endless stream of customers he encounters in a typical night. Drunk girls, odd people with animals, and obnoxious people who go out of their way to make life difficult for him. Each of the series of passengers is played by Raised On TV, while they sing about how weird and crazy the people in the city are. If you’re at all familiar with Los Angeles you’ll enjoy spotting the places you know  (and be sure to check out souvenir shop LA LA LAND on Hollywood Boulevard at the 1.27 minute mark, whose name is reversed in the clip) – “this whole town’s insane”.
Find out more about Raised On TV online on their official website, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Stream and download their music on SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Spotify, Amazon, and iTunes. Check out BandsInTown for information about upcoming concert dates.
