LA Based MeYA Release Eurovision Australia Considered Single ‘Just A Body’ March 17

MeYA is an electric pop duo comprising Mena Lovin and Yasmin Staub, originally from Melbourne, and Perth, Australia, who met on a film set in LA. The pair started MeYA in the summer of 2015, and their latest single, ‘Just A Body’, is the third release from their debut EP, ‘Body Parts’. It was one of 700 songs entered for consideration as Australia’s entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The track is an autobiographical account of the duo’s experiences in the entertainment industry, and has been influenced by the likes of BloodPop, Katy Perry, and Charlie XCX. The track opens up with an enigmatic sting, and soon builds into a colourful, fast paced pop song, filled with very emotional highs and lows. Tackling the topics of fear, power, and rejection, ‘Just A Body’ aims to empower with its strong girl pop sound.

‘Just A Body’ is set for release on March 17 and will be available to stream and download from Apple Music, Google Play Store and Spotify.
