R’nB Vocalist Lady Jay Releases Latest Single, ‘We Tried’ Featuring Ria Boss

Lady Jay has released her latest single, ‘We Tried’. Featuring Ria Boss, the soul-packed single was released on January 2 this year.

Lady Jay’s music reflects her hometown of Tema, Ghana, and her sound is a blend of African rhythms and western R’n’B, resulting in a mix which reminds us of Lauryn Hill, Brandy, and Rihanna.
‘We Tried’ is sure to catapault Lady Jay right where she belongs, into the heart of the music scene, as she has a sound which deserves recognition. ‘We Tried’ came about as a result of Lady Jay experiencing heartache – in her case it resulted in a new friendship – but nonetheless it should be completely relatable to everyone.
The single is accompanied by a music video, which with a purple-toned background, sees Lady Jay demonstrating her powerful vocal abilities and emotional song.
Lady Jay was previously a member of the Pidgin Music Group, which included artists such as King Ayisoba, YaaPono, and Wanlov, among others. She released her first single and video, ‘Venus’, two years ago, which featured the rapper Sarkodie. She has recently signed to Wahala Records, which is based in Accra, Ghana.
You can find out more about Lady Jay online on her official website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and SoundCloud. ‘We Tried’ is available on all digital platforms.
