It’s ‘For Your Own Good’ – Irish Synthpop Circuit3 Artist Releases New Single Ahead Of Sophomore Album

Irish synthpop artist CIRCUIT3 released his new single ‘FOR YOUR OWN GOOD’ on December 10th, along with a wild remix.

Arguably the first Irish synthpop hip hop crossover ‘For Your Own Good’ was December 10th on all popular digital and streaming platforms alongside a CD available from Circuit3’s official website.



Circuit3 says,

“My debut album sold out…so I spent all the money on more synths….Why not? “

‘For Your Own Good’ is the lead single from Circuit3’s new album, ‘The Price Of Nothing & The Value Of Everything’. The new record is set for release in early 2019 on Diode Records.

The track was given the Goldy Remix treatment, before Irish hip-hop legend Ricki Rawness came in to put his stamp on the track.

In speaking of the remix, Circuit3 said,

“I had no idea where this was going. When I heard what Goldy and Ricki did my mind was melted. My original lyric around privacy and big brother took a sharp right turn into Ricki’s perspective on medication and the 9-to-5 grind”.

Circuit3 is a stunning mix of synthpop electropop songs all wrapped up in bleeps, beats & synthy ear candy.  Undeniably influenced by the 1978-1982 classic era of electronic pop, he makes music using the digital precision of the 21st century combined with classic analog beats, arpeggiators and melody lines under a pop male vocal and lyric which takes no prisoners.

His acclaimed debut album ‘siliconchipsuperstar‘ sold out its initial vinyl pressing so he blew the royalties on more synths.

Dan Hegarty (RTE “The Alternative”) said of ‘siliconchipsuperstar’:

Ricki Rawness is a lyricist, producer, emcee and songwriter. He is well known and respected on the Irish urban music scene. He’s not your average emcee, completely original with a style that’s totally unique, utilizing intelligent phonetics and complexity in the structure of his rhymes.
