It’s A ‘Miracle’ From Sarah Brightman (ft Yoshiki)

Sarah Brightman has released ‘Miracle’, the follow-up to her brilliant track, ‘Sogni’. The gorgeous song is matched by a video which perfectly captures both Brightman’s grandeur and her talent. Brightman is accompanied by Yoshiki, one of Japan’s most renowned pianists.

Sarah Brightman and Yoshiki have a lot in common. Both are crossover artists: Brightman from classical to more contemporary music, while Yoshiki started his career as the principle writer, drummer, and pianist of the seminal metal band X Japan. The classically trained Yoshiki was still able to pursue that direction, and when the opportunity arose for him to collaborate with Brightman in a setting where both could showcase their individual talents, he didn’t hesitate.

The video for ‘Miracle’ sees a darkened, empty stage, ready with lights to cut through the fog, as Yoshiki leads Brightman to stand on his piano, directly underneath the spotlight. A choir stands at the edge of the stage, lit subtly, not taking the focus from Brightman and Yoshiki, leading both into and out of the song. Brightman’s voice soars as Yoshiki plays, their respective sounds joining together as one. It’s a spectacular scene, and ends as suddenly as it begins. It’s a stunningly beautiful, dare we say miraculous scene.
