LA Singer Songwriter Raquel Rodriguez Set To Wow London Audiences With Troubadour Residency

Compared to Chaka Khan, Prince, and Stevie Wonder, LA native Raquel Rodriguez is making a name for herself in the UK, with her latest track, ‘Night’s Over’. The singer songwriter is in London this month for a weekly residency at The Troubadour, Old Brompton Road, Earl’s Court, for her debut shows in the UK, as well as to celebrate the release of her new EP.

Raquel is somewhat different to other current female artists in that her style is firmly grounded in 70s and 80s west coast R&B and soul music, with a contemporary flavour. She skilfully translates this upbeat, funky, and very energetic vibe to her live shows.
With ‘The 310, Pt. 2’, EP, an homage to her hometown of Los Angeles, Raquel takes the listener on a journey through 70s funk, 80s synths, and 90s R&B. Her talents as a songwriter are evident in the record, as she takes face on her real life experiences and emotions, without sounding overly profound, or poetic.
