C. SHIROCK – ‘Confess Your Love’

Nashville pop singer songwriter C. Shirock’s debut music video, for his track, ‘Confess Your Love’, sees him take to Tulum, a small town on the Yucatan Peninsula, in Mexico. The clip, shot with director Joey Ciccoline, sees him chasing a beautiful woman through the streets, played by Mexican model and actress, Nohemí Hermosillo.

With a style of effortlessly melodic music, and choruses which burst out like the rains in the summertime, C. Shirock has shared the stage with many acts who share his taste for the dramatic, including the Manchester Orchestra, Cage The Elephant, and Twenty One Pilots. His music has been synced for use on MTV, NBC, ABC, and many other tv networks, and with his previous band, SHIROCK, he played pop-rock; by himself his sound is a lot slinkier, a lot sexier, and a lot more suitable for the dancefloor.

With his latest track, ‘Confess Your Love’, we see this new approach, and feel the influence of the likes of George Michael, Peter Gabriel, and Prince. C. Shirock’s voice however is unmistakably his, and the track is driven by pop rhythms and glossy synths. What makes his music however is the impassioned vocals, and confessional storytelling. ‘Confess Your Love’ tells of love in its earliest, most fragile, and Shirock’s gift is to make this absolutely palpable for the listener.

The clip for ‘Confess Your Love’ shows Shirock and his lady love, in their hotel room, and on the beach. The Yucatan is also featured here and is as much a performer as the humans; everything about the architecture, the churches, the courtyards, and the radiantly pastelled intersections, speak summer. The perfect antidote to the winter blues.
