Interpol – ‘If You Really Love Nothing’

New York City’s finest, Interpol, return with new single, ‘If You Really Love Nothing’. Taken from their sixth studio album, ‘Marauder’, the track comes with a high class music video directed by Hala Matar and starring Kristen Stewart and Finn Wittrock.

‘Marauder’, by Interpol, is packed to the gunnels with light production, heavy guitars, and haunting vocals. Their latest track, ‘If You Really Love Nothing’, is fast and furious and the video is a cinematic masterpiece, like a short film more than a music clip. Kristen Stewart is the perfect leading lady, exhibiting both a short temper and a short haircut, projecting her feelings of emptiness on others, having short lived affairs with various men, for her own self-gratification. It’s not a perfect plan however, she soon discovers it’s impossible to be completely devoid of emotion, and she gets caught – her mask of aloofness slips. Unable to face the consequences, she hot foots it out of town in a fast car.
