The Rising have released the following statement:

The Rising are pleased to announce the release of their band new single, ‘Even The Stars Fall For You’, as the second release from the Band’s current album ‘Moving On’. The single however, is a special version of the song with a brand new mix and edit of the song.

With the single we are also super excited to announce our first ever remix competition. We are offering the full studio multi-track stems of the song to budding remix artists.

As a band we are keen to explore new sounds, technologies and also to use our music to help others. So by offering the multi-track stems for free we hope that the song can be used as a resource and educational tool for budding remix artists, beat-makers and even mix engineers.

We are of course really interested to hear the new and inventive ways these artists may be able to take the song and music. So we are urging these artists to be as creative as possible to take the song in as many new and unique ways as you can.

Winners will receive a signed Vinyl copy of the band’s album ‘Moving On’ and the winning remix will be released commercially across all digital platforms worldwide and promoted to radio and visual media. So this is a great opportunity for budding remix artists to have their music commercially released. However, should there be lots of impressive entries we will release a remix EP.

‘Even The Stars Fall For You’ is a song we are extremely proud of and we are so excited to be able to release the song as a single. Since the albums release the song has been achieving lots of critical appraisal so we responded by choosing it to be the next single.

The song itself is based around the idea of love at first sight and also the feeling of true love where you would do anything for the one you love. The writing of the song came from the title and a chorus idea that had sat in a songwriting book since 2010. It was a title and a chorus with a series of blank spaces. It wasn’t until the making of the ‘Moving On’ album that we went back to the songbook for ideas. Once we found the idea the song came together quickly and we had the bones of the song done and demoed within a single day’s writing session. We centered in on the idea of a couple meeting for the first time. How their eyes meet across the room for the first time and they begin to fall in love. Each one dreaming about what life with the other would be and how fast they are falling for each other.

Recorded in The Rising’s hometown of Belfast, in Northern Ireland, at both their own studios, Renegade Studios, as well as PlethoraTone Studios, in Nashville, Tennessee, ‘Even The Stars Fall For You’ also features Nashville pedal steel guitar legend, Tommy Detamore, as well as John McCullough on piano, and Hammond organ.

The Rising can best be described as blending fresh-faced Pop/Rock with Modern Country Stylings fresh from Nashville.

The band’s style is informed by a wide number of influences. Refusing to be defined by one genre they firmly believe that music is music regardless of what genre tags it happens to have. Taking influence from contemporary Pop, Rock as wells the updated Country Sounds of artists such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini and many others. The band are equally at home listening and enjoying top 40 radio and all genres of music. But it’s the band’s love of storytelling lyrics and songs with meaning that inspires their love and affinity with Country Music.

New album ‘Moving On’ was partly funded thanks to a successful PledgeMusic Campaign. Thanks to people’s generous donations we are able to release the album on physical formats such as a limited edition Vinyl. Since it’s release it has achieved widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Guitarist Magazine, Hotpress Magazine, No Depression, Gaby Roslin, Essentially Pop, The Arts Desk and BBC.

The first single from the album, ‘Rebound’, achieved success with the music video being exclusively premiered by US based Country Music Bible, ‘The Boot’. The single also achived wide-spread radio airplay from the likes of BBC, a live session and interview with Gaby Roslin on BBC Radio London and BBC Introducing praising the single as ‘Song Of The Week’. The single was also premiered by Chris Country Radio and went on to achieve Heavy radio play and playlisting globally, including USA, UK, Europe, Ireland and beyond.

Since the band’s formation they have been lucky enough to gather support from the likes of RTE Radio, BBC Radio, Radio 2 with the likes of Graham Norton, Gaby Roslin and Alex Lester championing the band from their very first single. Constant touring around the UK and Ireland has helped the band build their fan-base with every show. Shows have included their own shows (the most recent being a headline tour in March/April 2017), festivals and also touring alongside the likes of Jess & The Bandits, The Shires, Ward Thomas and many other top acts. The band also performed at the Country 2 Country festival in London’s O2 two years in a row.

‘Moving On’ is available to download and stream on iTunes, Google Play, Deezer, and Spotify. You can also buy it from Amazon as a CD and on vinyl.
