spacepunk – ‘welcome.wav’

welcome.wav by spacepunk is, to coin a phrase, a spooky space dance track with a popping beat.

Opening with some wavering scifi beats, the track gets about a third of the way through when it starts upping the ante and becoming more powerful, with some industrial sounds. It’s got an impossibly catchy rhythm, which will have you bobbing in your seat if not up and on the dance floor. The deep bass waves are strong and vibrant, and we could easily see this track featured on the soundtrack of a science fiction film (we’re envisioning maybe something by HG Wells or HP Lovecraft).

This is the debut release by spacepunk, and we certainly hope it’s not the last.
