Les Stroud – ‘Big Yellow Taxi’

Les Stroud is back, with his take on the Joni Mitchell classic, ‘Big Yellow Taxi’. The follow up to his single, ‘How Long’, Stroud is once again confronting his listeners by throwing out a challenge to not take the environment for granted.

Matt Mahurin, who was the director behind his video for ‘How Long’, has made clips for other sociallly conscious artists, including Sting, Peter Gabriel, Ice T, and of course Joni Mitchell. He’s a frequent collaborator of Les, and is back behind the helm on this video. Images of beautiful nature are crossed with shots of traffic jams, gas masks, and the anguished face of Les himself. The Survivorman feels the words from the bottom of his heart, and his harmonica adds to the feeling.
